Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book my session?
As soon as you decide you want Wendy’s services, book your session. She is typically booked two months in advance, sometimes even further in advance for seniors and the holiday months. Book your newborn appointment as soon as you have a solid due date from your doctor. A deposit is not required at this time to reserve your session (with the exception of Senior Portrait Sessions.) Sitting fees are due at the time of your sitting.
When and how do I see my image proofs?
Approximately 7-14 days after your session, your images will be published to the website for digital viewing, and your folder will have a password assigned. Feel free to share your password so your family and friends can also view online proofs, and share in your joy. Family and friends are also free to order from the website.
What is the difference between papers?
“Luster” paper is a professional grade, portrait style paper (luster finish, not glossy, not matte). “Metallic” paper is a beautiful specialty paper that has a metallic finish. It works beautifully for black and white images, as well as for vibrant colors, or seasonal outdoor images. Feel free to contact Wendy if you are unsure which paper best suits your needs. There are samples of all paper and canvas types in Wendy’s studio.
